But twenty years at one firm felt worth a few minutes of reflection. And someone I trust convinced me it was a good idea. (More on that, later…)
When I started at Dinn, Hochman + Potter, LLC the age of 26, I thought being a good lawyer meant having encyclopedic legal knowledge. That matters. But two decades in, I’ve learned law is less about memorizing statutes and more about understanding people, risk, and how decisions actually get made.
